The Inventory Process Developer reports directly to the Owner. Generally, this employee is responsible for effectively developing and implementing inventory control processes to ensure organization and accurate accounting of supplies/products/materials/tools in/around the shop and in/on the service vehicles. Specific duties and responsibilities are listed below.

-- Primary Responsibilities --
---------------------------------------

- Recognize/identify various plumbing-related supplies, products, materials, and tools (SPMT).
- Establish/maintain organization of SPMT in/around the shop and in/on the service vehicles to ensure ease of inventory management.
- Design and implement an inventory tracking system for optimized inventory control procedures, including:  Specifying a location for each SPMT, labeling shelves and bins, developing and maintaining a list/spreadsheet/database of regularly purchased SPMT, establishing triggers/thresholds for re-ordering SPMT, etc.
- Develop and document processes/instructions, generating checklists/guides to enable: (a) Accurate accounting of SPMT when receiving new SPMT and/or consuming SPMT (through sales, for example); (b) conducting periodic inventory assessments; (c) coordinating with suppliers/vendors for warranty replacement (e.g. failed pumps/motors); etc.
- Present new/revised processes to Owner (and others as needed) for review and/or approval.
- Examine stock levels of SPMT; design and generate detailed reports (as needed).
- Instruct other users of the inventory system (Technicians, Office Staff, etc.) regarding best practices to manage/sustain inventory levels.
- Methodically receive new SPMT into the inventory system, including:  Recording serial numbers and reporting data to the Office Manager/Administrative Assistant.
- As required/directed:  Ordering/purchasing supplies, products, and materials (motors/pumps, pipe, fittings, etc.).
- As required/directed: Exchanging motors/pumps at local suppliers’ office(s) and/or via USPS.
- As required/directed: Research vendor pricing and delivery options to identify high quality/low cost SPMT.

- General Office Management:  Maintain and upkeep organization and cleanliness of office premises, equipment, furniture, etc.  Ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of business data, policies, procedures, vendors, customers, etc.

- Additional duties may be directed by the company owner and/or supervisor. The above list of responsibilities and duties is not all inclusive. Many miscellaneous errands and tasks need to be accomplished to keep our small business operating smoothly, and all of our employees are expected to contribute.

- Part-time, Temporary position. 20-hours per week for approximately 8 - 10 weeks beginning in May or June 2021.  Employer prefers for employee(s) to maintain consistent work hours:  Four (4) hours per day (7:30 am - 11:30 am), Monday through Friday; however, alternate hours may be agreeable — to be discussed during interview and at time of employment.  No greater than five (5) hours per day.  Weekend work periods are acceptable if it suits the employee’s schedule better.

- Compensation. Weekly pay is calculated as an hourly wage to be determined for each individual employee when hired. Expected pay range is $10 - $12 per hour (based on assessed knowledge, skills, experience, etc.). All pay is distributed on Friday by direct deposit (bank account required).
